Our CWCTC SAP team is able to help students

  • Gain assistance with academic needs
  • Receive mental health care
  • Provide food backpacks

In order to receive assistance, a student will need to have a SAP referral completed. This can be done by the teacher, a friend, the student themself, or a parent.

Your local high school counseling office webpage may also have links to help you. Play some calming music —– Do a workout video —- Reach out and talk to friends and family —- Make a meal together with family and friends when you can —- Be sure to sleep and keep to a regular schedule. 

Find something good each day. 

But with everything — just know you are not alone. Know that many people are experiencing similar feelings. You might feel scared, confused, overwhelmed, angry, alone, grateful, or completely calm. These feelings can come and go. And every one of us has different reasons for feeling the way we do.

Your feelings are normal; the situation is not.

Governor Wolf announced, and the Department of Health have implemented a mask mandate for all K-12 schools in Pennsylvania.  According to this mandate, which takes effect on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, all students, staff and visitors must wear a mask while in schools.  Therefore, masks will be required starting on Tuesday for all students, employees, and visitors that enter any Central Westmoreland CTC building.

With regard to educational and technical programming moving forward, any changes to our current five-day face-to-face model, will be communicated to staff and families, if and when, any changes are made.
